UK-based Halcrow has appointed Michael Angus (pictured) as their first non-executive director. The Hal-crow group is reorganising to accommodate the appointment of Angus. The existing Halcrow Group board director for development and strategy, Tony Allum, will now be vice-chairman with specific responsibility for global business development.

Weir Pumps, part of the Weir Group, is restructuring the company which will see its seven divisions replaced by four small market-driven business units. It is hoped that the new look will give greater focus to the main industrial markets served by the company. The director of the new power unit will be Graham Bibby.

Finally, the engineering firm, Binnie black-veatch has appointed Mushtaq Kazi as chief electrical engineer at its UK headquarters, and Anthony Khoo as a senior systems and control engineer. The appointments have been made to boost the company’s mechanical, electrical, control and instrumentation capabilities in the UK.
