Tractebel subsidiary wins Yuncan concession

11 February 2004

EnerSur, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tractebel Electricity & Gas International, is to pay around US$53M until mid 2005 and a semi-annual fee during the first 17 years of the contract, for the 70% complete plant and its transmission system.

Under the terms of the usufruct agreement, EnerSur is to have exclusive rights to operate the Yuncan project and to sell the hydro power generated once it is commissioned in July 2005.
