Thereafter, selected contractors wil be invited to tender for the works described below. The works comprise the detailed design, construction, testing, commissioning and completion of the works including maintenance.
Work involves five rural flood water storage areas through earthworks to reshape land contours and the construction of five earth embankments with flow control structures and spillways to the North and East of Northallerton. Also included is an underground flood water storage tank of 5600m3 capacity together with the associated overflow pipework pumps and a rising main located atBullamoor Memorial Park. Installation of land drainage selection of the contractor will be based on a quality and price submission. The contractor will be required to provide a target cost for the works.
