Voith and Kudelski Group partner for cyber security

Technology Group Voith and digital security firm Kudelski Group have announced they are partnering to deliver new solutions to secure connected technologies for industrial markets in North America.

The Kudelski/Voith partnership will provide end-to-end products and services, utilizing the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), to deliver secure connectivity across the entire business operation, the firms said in a statement.

“This partnership will bring added protections to Voith’s customers,” said Michael Rhodes, Senior Vice President Sales North America, Voith Digital Ventures. “Both Voith and Kudelski have deep expertise in IIoT systems, and bringing the two companies together in a partnership strengthens that knowledge base. With Voith’s unique expertise in OT and Kudelski’s dominating cybersecurity experience, this team will deliver a world-class cybersecurity offerings to businesses as they embrace digitalization and automation.”

The partnership will leverage the Kudelski IoT Security Suite, a comprehensive set of services and solutions designed to make IoT security easy to embrace. The Kudelski Group has more than 30 years of experience designing software- and hardware-based security solutions, as well as deep cybersecurity expertise through its advisory consulting teams and managed services that are delivered through Cyber Fusion Centers in Switzerland and the United States.

The goal of the Voith/Kudelski partnership is to develop tangible products and services that support customers with their digital transformation journey and reliably protect their industrial environments from new and emerging cybersecurity and physical security threats.

The initial offering will center around advisory services and managed security services, and plans are underway to further expand those offerings in the future.
