Voith Siemens to supply generators for Longkaikou

The company is to supply five 400MVA generators under a contract worth more than Euro65M (US$103M). They will be manufactured at its workshops in Shanghai.

Longkaikou is being developed on the upper reaches of the Yangtze river by Langcangjiang Hydro, which awarded the contract. The plant is to have a total installed capacity of 1,800MW and is expected to generate 7.8M MWh annually.

The client is also developing the Xiaowan and Nuozhadu plants. Voith Siemens Hydro is also supplying equipment to the plants.
