The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) should complete work on the 800MW Mohmand Dam by 2025, Chairman Lt Gen. Muzammil Hussain (Retd) has said.

The authority has been carrying out work on the multipurpose project day and night, the Chairman said during a visit to the project site, with the result that the project should be complete during high flow season in 2025 as per the timelines.

Mohmand Dam is being constructed at River Swat in Tribal District Mohmand of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The project, which is being developed following a five decade delay, will feature the 5th highest concrete-face-rock-fill Dam (CFRD) in the world.
