Winning bidders named for San Roque, Bakun and Benguet capacities

The Philippines Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation (Psalm) was reported as stating that Strategic Power, which is part of San Miguel Corp, offered $450M for the 345MW San Roque project’s contracted capacity during the bidding today. Amlan, a consortium of local investors, was said to have bid $145.473M for the capacities of the 70MW Bakun project and the 30MW Benguet scheme.

All three projects are located in Northern Luzon in the Philippines. The Bakun plant is sited in Alilem, Ilocos Sur, the Benguet mini-hydro facilities lie in the Cordillera Administrative Region province, while the San Roque hydro plant is based in San Manuel, Pangasinan.
