Alstom SA has been removed from the World Bank Group's sanctions list after the Bank's Integrity Compliance Office determined that the company has fulfilled its conditions for release.
The World Bank emphasis on corporate compliance programs aims at helping companies foster and maintain higher integrity standards.
Alstom Hydro France and Alstom Network Schweiz AG (Switzerland) - in addition to their affiliates - were debarred by the Bank back in February 2012 following Alstom's acknowledgment of misconduct in relation to the World Bank-financed Zambia Power Rehabilitation Project.
