Fezer, an affiliate of Power Machines located in Brazil, and NISHI Electromecanica have agreed a contract for the modernization and repair of a 2MW hydroturbine at the Abranjo power plant in Brazil following a competitive tender.
Under the contract, Fezer will carry out modernization and repair of the turbine guide vanes, shaft and wheel. Company specialists will also perform the installation of hydraulic equipment at the power plant.
"The project implementation will reduce turbine cavitation, increase the unit service life by 10 years, and reduce operation costs," said Artem Varnakov, Power Machines Fezer CEO. "The whole amount of work will be carried out at our Brazilian plant in one and a half months."
The completion of equipment deliveries is scheduled for july 2017.
Power Machines Fezer is currently taking part in the implementation of a project involving manufacture and delivery of three mini turbines complete with wheels for the Theodoro Schlickmann project (Brazil), as well as in the delivery of spare parts for the La Mina project (Chile) and pre-turbine ball valves for the upgrade of the Henry Borden project (Brazil).
