The Pakistan Water & Power Development Authority intends to prequalify firms / contractors for the Contract Lot 1 and it is expected that invitations to bid will be made during 2008.
pre-qualification will be concluded through pre-qualification procedures specified in the World Banks Guidelines ‘Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004’, and is open to bidders from eligible countries as defined in the guidelines.
Interested eligible firms and joint ventures may obtain further information from and inspect the pre-qualification Document as the address given below. A complete set of the pre-qualification Document in English may be purchased by the interested applicants on submission of a written application and upon payment of non-refundable fee of US$500 for mailing within Pakistan. For mailing the pre-qualification Document to an address outside Pakistan a Payment of a non-refundable fee of US$150 is requested.
Application for pre-qualification should be submitted in a sealed envelope, marked ‘Application to prequalify for Diamer Basha Dam Project Lot 1: Construction of concrete dam and related structures including diversion tunnels and permanent access bridge’ and delivered to the address given below by July 31. 2008 during the office working hours.
