Scope of supply is to include three Francis turbine runners, three sets of wicket gates and a new stator winding, as well as a hydraulic model test, dismantling, site and factory refurbishment and re-assembly of the three units.

Delivery of the first unit to the site on Lièvre river, Québec, Canada is expected in July 2006, with the other two following in consecutive years. The three units are to be commissioned in March 2007, February 2008 and February 2009, says GE.

While turbine runners are to be supplied by GE’s Lachine-based factory, the winding is to come from the company’s facility in Beloeil.

The value of the deal has not been disclosed.
