The US$1.6M refurbishment programme will extend the stations life by 30 years and improve its efficiency by around 8%.
The refurbishment is part of Scottish and Southern Energy’s US$707.5M investment programme in renewable energy. US$393M will be spent refurbishing its hydro power stations in a 10 year rolling programme. St Fillans is the first of the Company’s refurbished power stations to qualify for ROCs.
