SN Aboitiz Power Inc (SNAP) and the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) of the Philippines are exploring development options for the proposed Ilaguen-B multi-purpose hydropower project in Isabela province, the Manila Bulletin has reported.
The project, which would primarily be used for irrigation, could have a total hydropower output of 88MW. Costs for the scheme have been estimated at P12.9B, with a number of options being considered for the project development, including a public-private sector partnership.
