Officials from the International Finance Corporation and the Aga Khan Fund have held talks with senior government officials in Tajikistan about the possibility of funding the expansion of the Pamir-1 hydro power plant in the Khorag region, according to the Asia-Plus Information Agency.
The project will involve increasing the existing installed capacity of the plant by 14MW and expanding the regional electricity supply network. However, a large number of technical and economic aspects still need to be evaluated before the project can go ahead.
