The increase comes from raised water levels in the Three Gorges reservoir, reaching 156m last October and expected to reach 175m in 2008, together with three to four new generators that will come into operation this year.
Three Gorges targets 78.6TWh in 2007
China's Three Gorges plant and the downstream Gezhouba plant on the Yangtze River plan to generate 78.6TWh of electricity in 2007, up 23% on the previous year.
