Hawksworth is expected to commence with TrustPower around the end of April 2010. Until then the Retail Division Manager Chris O’Hara will carry the responsibility as Acting Chief Executive.
TrustPower appoints Vince Hawksworth as Chief Executive
Hawksworth is currently Chief Executive of Hydro Tasmania and was previously General Manager Retail for Genesis Energy. He has extensive experience of both the New Zealand and Australian electricity markets, covering wind project development, resource consenting, management of hydro inflow risks as well as retailing experience. Hawksworth has both management and engineering qualifications and is considered well suited to his new role at TrustPower.
