Norwegian software provider Volue has signed an agreement with PPC, one of Southeast Europe’s largest clean energy companies, to deploy its Smart Power platform for hydropower production planning and optimisation.

PPC operates across the full energy value chain, with an installed capacity of more than 12.5GW. That includes 3.2GW of hydropower, featuring two pumped storage facilities that play a key role in grid stability and renewable integration in Greece.

Volue’s Smart Power SaaS platform will support PPC in improving short- and mid-term hydropower scheduling, optimising water resource use and increasing operational efficiency. The platform’s advanced optimisation models and automation capabilities are designed to help manage multi-asset portfolios, reduce environmental impact, and maximise clean energy generation.

The agreement aligns with PPC’s strategic focus on digitalisation and decarbonisation, and supports its role in advancing renewable energy in Southeast Europe.

Volue, headquartered in Oslo, provides technology solutions to support energy system optimisation, serving more than 2,500 customers in over 40 countries. PPC operates in Greece, Romania, North Macedonia, Italy and Bulgaria, supplying electricity and energy services to 8.7 million customers.
