The project’s builder, Teesta Urja Co, said that 10 of its workers died when their vehicles were buried by a landslide in the area around the hydro plant, with a further seven killed in another slide. One worker is still missing.

The hydro plant and associated dam were not damaged during the earthquake, early reports indicate.

The earthquake, which occurred on Sunday evening, has killed at least 90 people in northeast India, Tibet and Nepal, the Associated Press reports.
