If the project goes ahead it is expected to cost US$2.5B, with the power generated to be split equally between the two countries. Completion would be scheduled for 2015.
Zimbabwe, Zambia discussing Batoka revival
The Zimbabwe and Zambia governments will meet next month to discuss implementation of the long-delayed 1600MW Batoka hydroelectric project on the Zambezi River.
