Électricité de France (EdF) has today confirmed its commitment to using and integrating the Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Protocol in pursuit of sustainability among its hydropower plants and projects. The news follows the International Hydropower Association’s (IHA) integral involvement in raising awareness of hydropower sustainability at the 6th World Water Forum in Marseille, 12-17 March 2012.

Riverbank and enXco in pumped storage agreement

Hydro developer Riverbank Power and enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company, have entered into an agreement to jointly develop pumped storage facilities in North America, initially focusing on large-scare development in the Northwest region.
