Finland’s Salhami project refurbished

The Salahmi hydroelectric project in Finland has been successfully refurbished, with a double-regulated Mavel Z Kaplan turbine having been commissioned in the spring. System integrator VEO Oy worked with Mavel to complete the project in less than 12 months from the signing of the equipment contract to commissioning.

Mavel has announced the recent commissioning of the Grodnenskaya hydroelectric project in the Republic of Belarus. Located on the Neman River, 8km from the city of Grodno, the project is owned by RUP Grodnoenergo. Mavel signed a contract to provide turbines and related technology for the project in July 2009. Financing was provided by the Czech Export Bank.

Gangjeong, Nakdan and Hapcheon hydro power schemes were part a group of five projects awarded to Mavel and announced originally in 2010. The other two projects were commissioned in late 2011.
