The 22MW Seti Khola Hydropower Project has been commissioned in Nepal, Dolma Impact Fund, an investor in the project, has announced.
The run-of-river scheme is located on the Seti Khola in Kaski District, Gandaki Province, within Pokhara Metropolitan City. It has been designed to generate 133.432GWh of electricity a year.
Seti Khola Hydropower Pvt. Ltd. developed the project, which has been under construction since April 2021.
The scheme comprises headworks, a settling basin, headrace tunnel and pipe, surge tank, penstock, powerhouse, tailrace and switchyard.
Electricity from the plant will be sold to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) under a power purchase agreement. The project is connected to the 132kV Lekhnath-Damauli transmission line via an approximately 1.5km-long, 132kV transmission line.
Clean Energy Consultant Pvt. Ltd. was responsible for the project’s design and construction, while M&A Construction carried out the civil works.
Dolma Impact Fund said the commissioning of Seti marked the completion of its fifth renewable energy project in Nepal.
