The complete refurbishment of the Maureille hydroelectric power station in France’s Aude department has reached several construction milestones, with gate works finished and civil works on the water chambers and diffusers nearing completion.

In a project update published on 20 October, SERHY Ingénierie reported progress on the installation of hydraulic components as work continues to prepare the station for new generating equipment.

The next stages will include completing the remaining civil works and continuing hydraulic works. Generators will then be installed, followed by electrical equipment and automation systems, ahead of commissioning.

SERHY Ingénierie is coordinating civil engineering, hydraulic works and equipment integration for the renovation, which will modernise the station and prepare it for its new generating configuration.

Back in August it was announced that SERHY Ingénierie had acquired the 1MW Toirac hydropower plant on the Lot River in France, having operated the facility since it entered service in 2022.
