Gilbert Gilkes & Gordon Ltd is a privately owned, internationally established manufacturing business based in the UK. Hydro & Pump Specialists since 1856, Gilkes now export to over 85 Countries around the world.

Gilkes Hydro offer single source solutions for a range of hydropower turbines, providing efficient, clean, renewable energy. Our range of Francis, Turgo & Pelton Turbines cover medium to high head projects capable of generating up to 30MW per unit.  Having manufactured over 6800 turbines, Gilkes offers complete water to wire solutions for small hydroelectric developments, as well as full plant modernisation & optimisation services.

With over 165 years of experience our water to wire solutions fit a range of hydropower applications.  From large utilities to small mini grids, our solutions are tailored to meet the needs of each individual project.  

Gilkes currently employs around 150 staff including a multi-disciplined team of experienced & qualified graduate Engineers and designers, Sales Engineers, and support staff based at our Head Office in the UK, ready to support our UK and International customers.
