Targeted for completion by 2017, the project has an estimated cost of Rs 5000 Crore. GVK Development Projects will carry out the development work on a build, own operate and transfer basis.

GVK Power & Infrastructure has announced that its subsidiary – GVK Developmental Projects – has been named the winning bidder to develop the 690MW Rattle hydroelectric project on the Chinab River in the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir.
