KONČAR has reported more than €1bn in new contracts during the first half of 2026, with hydropower plant modernisation projects contributing to strong growth in its electricity generation business.
The company said it maintained its growth trajectory during the first six months of the year, with consolidated revenue from the sale of products and services reaching €724.9 million, up €88.2 million compared with the same period in 2025.
Export markets accounted for 71.2% of total sales revenue, with exports increasing to €516.5m. Sales to European Union countries reached €381.7m, representing 73.9% of the Group’s total exports. Germany remained the company’s largest export market, followed by Sweden and the Netherlands.
EBITDA for the period was €173.4m, with a margin of 23.9%, while net profit reached €171.4m, representing a margin of 23.6%.
During the first half of the year, KONČAR secured new contracts worth €1.014bn. Export contracts totalled €779.3m, an increase of 33.6% compared with the same period last year. The company’s order book exceeded €2.9bn by the end of June.

KONČAR said its electricity transmission and distribution business remained the largest contributor to overall performance, driven by demand for transformers, substations and other grid equipment.
The electricity generation segment recorded year-on-year growth of 77.1%, supported by hydropower plant modernisation projects. The company also reported growth of 68.1% in its digital solutions and platforms business, while its urban mobility and infrastructure segment continued to deliver existing projects and pursue new opportunities in domestic and international markets.
