The projects, in Arunachal Pradesh state, will see KSK build plants with capacities of 600MW and 125MW, respectively, the company said in a statement.
KSK is currently building its first hydro project, the Avantika plant in Orissa state, which will have a capacity of 18MW. The company has significant ambitions in hydro with hopes to have 1GW of installed capacity before the end of 2012. Pre-development talks for hydro projects have been underway in north and northeast India and also in neighbouring Nepal, it said.
Focusing on meeting the energy needs of the private sector, the company is developing both conventional and renewable energy resources. Last year it floated on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange, which raised £30.9M.
The company is incorporated in the Isle of Man and is the holding company for a number of power development businesses following a re-organisation last year.
