The Voith Group has selected InEight Estimate to support project planning across Voith Hydro, its hydropower division.

InEight, a provider of construction project controls software, said the platform will help Voith improve cost consistency, streamline estimating workflows and increase transparency across large-scale hydropower projects.

Voith Hydro supplies equipment and services for conventional and pumped storage hydropower plants, including turbines, generators, automation systems, maintenance and training services.

The company said the adoption of InEight Estimate forms part of its efforts to improve planning accuracy and strengthen estimating processes across complex energy projects.

“InEight Estimate will provide us with a structured approach to improving cost visibility and consistency across our hydropower projects,” said Thomas Neidhardt, Global Cost Calculation Manager at Voith. “By standardising our estimating processes, we are better positioned to plan effectively and support the delivery of sustainable energy solutions worldwide.”

The software platform is intended to support collaboration between teams and provide a more consistent approach to project planning across Voith Hydro’s international operations.

Jake Macholtz, CEO of InEight, said: “We are proud to support Voith as they continue to lead in sustainable technology and hydropower innovation. InEight Estimate is designed to help organizations like Voith bring greater accuracy, transparency and confidence to their project planning.”
