The International Hydropower Association (IHA) has announced the election of 18 industry leaders to its Board for the 2025–2027 term. The new Board will guide IHA’s efforts to advance sustainable hydropower worldwide.
The Board will begin its mandate at the 2025 International Forum on Pumped Storage in Paris, France. Candidates from all global regions stood for election, resulting in a group representing a wide range of hydropower expertise.
IHA Chief Executive Officer Eddie Rich said: “I would like to congratulate all our Board members, in particular those elected for the first time. The time is now to recognise sustainable hydropower’s critical role in the transition to a secure and reliable energy future. Hydropower’s ability to deliver secure, flexible and resilient power has never been more important. Our new Board will play a crucial role in strengthening hydropower’s contribution to building more future-proof energy systems.”
